Development 1983 - 2005

A course of sustainable, continuous growth, together with our customers, has enabled us to strengthen our successful positioning of today over the course of the decades.

Below, we have compiled important dates in the development of our company in an overview:

1983

On the premises of the then existing company Willenborg & Co. KG, WGF-Fahrzeugteile GmbH was founded by the shareholders Ludwig Willenborg, Jürgen Gürtler and Rainer Friedrich. Their goal was to market products of Messrs. Willenborg, which were required specifically in agriculture.

These products were primarily simple wearing parts manufactured by turning and cold forming; e.g. linch pins, coupling pins, top and bottom links, turned parts manufactured according to drawings, etc.

1987

Foundation of the affiliate A.S.I.-Normteile GmbH by the shareholders Jürgen Gürtler and Rainer Friedrich. The goal of this company is to provide the "Do it yourself“-market, which is steadily gaining importance, with relevant products (standard parts for final users and workshops).

1989

Through a change in ownership, Jürgen Gürtler and Rainer Friedrich become sole shareholders of WGF.

1997

Certification of WGF-Fahrzeugteile GmbH and A.S.I.-Normteile GmbH by the TüV Nord for the following scope:

  • Design
  • Production
  • Sale of vehicle and standard parts

according to ISO EN DIN 9001:2008 as well as German and European traffic law.

2003

For the supply of markets in Eastern Europe, WGF Bulgaria Gmbh, BG 1225 Sofia are founded.

2004

WGF have developed into leading suppliers for individual parts and system solutions, with 20 years of experience in the marketplace. One vital centre of activities is represented by the area of agricultural and commercial vehicles.
